I've put a link to amazon with suggestions for wider reading to the right. You can choose anything you like to read provided the subject is 'Love'. Some research tasks on Chaucer and the Medieval period

Sorry I couldn't get this on the Blog before. I had a few problems getting the pdf to read properly. Anyway... Pick your area for research:
Courtly Love
Chivalry - The Knight's Code of Conduct
Pilgrimages in Chaucer's time
The role of the Church in Medieval England
E.M. Tillyard "The Elizabethan World Picture" - check out the chapter on 'The Chain of Being'.

All the above will be important to your study of 'The Miller's Tale'.
